Compassion in Action
Carbon County Cowpokes
We are a non-profit, animal rescue organization focused on improving the lives of animals and their owners.
Passionate About Animal Welfare
Carbon County Cowpokes is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating better living conditions for animals and providing support to livestock owners during tough times. Our mission is to bring animals to kids for 4H and assist livestock owners who need a little help. Our team, led by Austin Thomas and Dori Fritz, brings over 70 years of combined experience working with horses. We work closely with Pappys Pulse Service for magnawave of all animals and offer a range of services including pony rides, petting zoos, and livestock care.

Comprehensive Care
At Carbon County Cowpokes, we offer a wide range of services designed to support animals and their owners. Our services are not just about providing care and shelter for animals in need, but also about creating a community where people can learn about and interact with animals in a safe and fun environment. We work closely with Pappys Pulse Service for magnawave of all animals, providing a unique and beneficial service for the health and well-being of the animals in our care.

Animal Rescue
Our animal rescue service is at the heart of what we do. We accept any animal in need, providing them with the care, love, and support they need to thrive. We believe that every animal deserves a chance at a happy and healthy life, and we work tirelessly to make that a reality.

Pony Rides
Our pony rides are a favorite among children and adults alike. These rides offer a fun and engaging experience, allowing individuals to interact with our friendly and well-trained ponies. It’s not just about the ride, but also about learning how to communicate and interact with animals.

Petting Zoos
Our petting zoos provide an opportunity to interact with and learn about a variety of animals. This service is not just about fun, but also about education. We believe that by providing people with the opportunity to interact with animals, we can foster a greater understanding and appreciation for them.

Livestock Care
We understand that livestock owners sometimes need to leave their animals in the care of others. That’s why we offer livestock care for owners on vacation. You can rest assured knowing that your animals are in the hands of experienced and compassionate caregivers.

Partnership with Pappys Pulse Service
We work very closely with Pappys Pulse Service for magnawave of all animals. This service uses pulsed electromagnetic field therapy to improve the health and well-being of animals. It’s just one of the ways we go above and beyond to provide the best possible care for animals.
Why Choose Us
At Carbon County Cowpokes, we believe in going the extra mile for both animals and their owners. We’re not just an animal rescue organization – we’re a community. We strive to create a space where animals are treated with the love and respect they deserve, and where people can learn about and interact with animals in a meaningful way. Our unique approach to animal welfare sets us apart.
Community Support
We’re more than just a club – we’re a support system for all livestock owners. We understand the challenges that come with caring for livestock, and we’re here to help. Through hay and grain donations and water bill assistance, we provide tangible support that can make a real difference during tough times.

Educational Experiences
We believe that education is key to promoting animal welfare. That’s why we offer fun events and educational experiences for our community. Whether it’s a pony ride, a visit to our petting zoo, or an educational event, we strive to foster a greater understanding and appreciation for animals.
